I am the Recruitment Manager of EBR. This role entails a combination of operations management and business development. I oversee the consultants in each of their specialised areas. I mentor my team and monitor their outcomes and development. I created the systems and basic architecture that the business works from. I have the task of continually supervising the development of methods and procedures employed by EBR. It is also my role to conduct all internal recruitment. I run staff meetings, training and other staff development activities. I coordinate our charity fundraising and hold regular sessions aimed at supporting the staff in pursuing their professional and personal goals.
The strategy I try to employ when leading and managing others is a balance between instinct and intuition and structured managerial styles. I do my best to develop a personal rapport with my staff. I find that this really helps to gain an understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and goals. By doing this I am in the best position to draw on their strengths and align our goals so that we can move forward efficiently. The values I adhere to are ‘lead by example' and ‘contributions are welcome'.
I am proud to say that in EBR's 20 years, we have worked with a vast range of industry leading clients, both in Australia and overseas. I take pride in adding a personal touch to recruitment - I like to really get to know my client's and how I can help with their recruitment needs. Throughout my time with EBR, I have placed countless candidates both Australia-wide and internationally. For me it's not just about filling a position, it's about finding the right A player talent and building a partnership. This mindset has allowed me to develop successful long term relationships with clients in locations such as Colorado, New York, Amsterdam, New Zealand and Singapore.
Through the journey of recruiting and creating EBR, and being ever better, I also offer career coaching sessions to individuals who want to put themselves in the top 1% and wanting to be the best version of themselves. I cover topics such as resume reviews, best interview preparation with outstanding tips, critique on LinkedIn profiles, networking skills and general career advice. I enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience for the benefit of helping others to develop and ‘think'. The important key message has always been - “The mind is everything. What you think, you become.”
I am a person who is naturally intrigued by others. Taking interest in someone and thinking about not just asking questions but asking better questions, has led me to connecting and communicating at a higher level than the average recruitment consultant. This is a gift that I am proud to share. I'll always ask the difficult questions that you don't want me to ask and that most often no one else will. By doing this, I can identify how to help you to move past your obstacles and never lose your sense of wonder.
