Are Job Position Descriptions Outdated?

Today I had a conversation with a friend about writing his company's job position description. This does not need to be as tricky and frustrating as it sounds, it can be as simple as putting it together using a scorecard.  The value of choosing 3-5 critical tasks,  add it to a scorecard template then measure your progress, it can be that simple!
