Have A Perfect CV!
Ensure your CV is relevant to the job you are applying for. It has to be simple. No more than two pages. The average résumé gets read in 10 seconds. Be sure the content is on a level any high school senior could understand. In other words, the person looking at your résumé should be able to easily understand exactly whom you have worked for and what that company does. Just because you know the company or it’s a big name, doesn’t mean everyone is familiar with what your specific division does.
Some extra CV writing tips include the following: Use a reverse chronological order. List your present, or most recent job, first, and then work backwards. You state the complete name of the company you work for, or have worked for, and what they do, how long you were there–month and year. Then list the position you held and your accomplishments. Also include a hobbies & interests section as it paints a picture of a type of person you are and may work in your favour depending on the position you are applying for. Also don’t forget to provide at least 3 references on your CV. Also to make life easier for you make sure you include the referees name, the company they work for, their contact number & their current email address.
Having a well written CV is essential!
